Save the date! Rod Percival will discuss Capital Program and Budgeting specifying the projects and funding needed to schedule and accomplish the objectives in Municipal Plans.
Mr. Rodney Percival, P.E., has over 30 years in the construction industry in the capacity of Contractor, Estimator, Construction Manager, Project Manager, and Program Cost Manager. For the past two decades he has performed program management functions on some of the largest programs in the region including FAA Infrastructure, LAUSD Bond Program and LAX Capital improvement program. He will review the issues that make the Capital Budgeting process for the large organization challenging and provide ideas for successful budget planning by tapping into the organization’s untapped cost data and using the cost model developed by him. Collecting your organization’s historical development costs and using that data to develop budgets for your future Capital Plans can pay huge dividends in delivering a successful Capital Program. His cost model drives a collaborative budgeting tool that the Estimating, Project Management and Executive staff can access. A feedback loop is incorporated into the process to fine-tune cost data. Any organization can benefit from better budgeting outcomes through systemization. This presentation will benefit Agency Representatives, Program Managers, and Estimators that seek to improve this key metric.
