My name is Alisha Barnes. I am a Branch Manager at the Central Rappahannock Regional Library. My educational background includes a Bachelor of Science degree in Sociology from the Virginia Commonwealth University, Masters in Education from the University of Mary Washington, and Master of Arts in Library and Information Science.
In the past, I have also worked as a employee and volunteer in libraries and education. This experience has provided me with a diverse perspective on education and what it means to be a lifelong learner. It has also afforded me the ability to see what users, patrons, and students will need in the future to succeed in our fast-paced information society.
I consider myself to be first and foremost a student of the world. I am open to new ideas and instructional methods.
