About Me

Background: My name is Devin Page. I grew up in north Baltimore County and attended Saint Mary's College of Maryland, graduating in 1995 with a Bachelor's Degree in Political Science. During my Junior Year Abroad, I fell in love with literature and began to focus on a writing career. After graduating from Saint Mary's and continuing grad school in writing at Towson University, I also worked as a center director and supervisor for my mom's child care company and discovered a new passion for helping children. I re-entered school full-time in 1998 to embark on a teaching career, receiving my Master's Degree in Education from the College of Notre Dame. I taught middle school in Baltimore County for two years before relocating to Calvert County in 2003 where I began at Northern Middle School and taught 6th grade Ancient World History for nine years. I am entering my ninth year teaching 8th grade Early US History.

Family and Personal Interests: I am husband to a wonderful teacher and CCPS supervisor and father to two phenomenal children, sixteen year-old Kyle and fourteen year-old Corinne. I love all sports both as a fan and participant, particularly basketball, baseball, and running. Today, whether playing baseball with my son, cooking with my daughter, or traveling with the whole family, I have found life to be a wonderful adventure outside of the classroom.

Teaching Philosophy: I believe when we embrace new challenges and welcome new experiences, we become lifelong learners. I look forward to bringing that same optimism and curiosity about the world to the classroom. I can't wait to meet each and every one of my students!
