Follow the directions below to download and open the Google Earth map that contains Global Issues layers:
1) Check to see that your computer has Google Earth installed--check to see if there's a desktop icon.
If it HAS Google Earth, go to Step #2 (DON'T OPEN IT YET!)
If it is not on the desktop, download Google Earth.
2) Check your desktop for this KMZ file icon below--see image.
IF you already have it (because someone before you downloaded it), then just click on it to view the Google Earth file--it will automatically open in Google Earth.
3) If you DO NOT have that KMZ file on your desktop, THEN open this link and download the file to your DESKTOP:
4) Once the file has downloaded to your desktop, DOUBLE CLICK on it to open it and view it in Google Earth.
How to explore the Google Earth file:
Once it is open, zoom in on different parts of the world that include the layer icons that appear on the global map.
When you see one, click on it to expand and view it.
Do this for at least 6 of the layer icons that you see. The image below shows some examples of what the icons look like.
