BENEFICIARY

This year, we dedicate the 15th Annual 5K Turkey Trot for Charity to our beloved Heart Work Queen, Aunty Nani Wilson.  Her family has chosen, The Lumana'i Education Gift Fund as the beneficiary of the proceeds from this year's Turkey Trot.

Aunty Nani was a dedicated supporter of The Lumana'i Education Gift since its inception over 16 years ago.  She was part of the first outreach video and even volunteered her son DannyBoy to record it!  Also, Aunty Nani wrote letters to seek support of the fund and help us reach our annual goal ensuring that the gift remains a valuable resource for students for years to come.  In her writing, she was candid about her own challenges as a parent, using her experiences to inspire and rally support.  

Each year, Aunty Nani prioritized attending the awards presentation for The Lumana'i Education Gift to offer her congratulations and encouragement to each of the recipients in-person.  And who could forget her world famous pistachio cupcakes which she lovingly baked and donated to our silent auction to support the fund!  She loved to collaborate and build up our youth and this gift was one avenue that was dear to her heart.  We are deeply honored that her family selected this program to continue her legacy of "Love & Light."
