Mario Bros. Beautiful machinebut the CP needs some attention:
MB CP project:
Here's what it looked like when I just started peeling off the artwork. The dark patches are rust where the decal had been peeled off some time ago.
Bottom of panel before joystick/button/hardware/harness removal.
Here we go:
After about an hour of running the hair dryer and scraping/pulling off the decal, it's finally off with about 1/32" of sticky residue left.
Coated board with Goo-Gone and let sit for about 45 minutes then tried to wipe off with a cotton sock...no go. Ended up using a palm sander, lots more Goo -Gone, another hour of work and quite a bit of sand paper.
Here it is with all of the sticky stuff off. Next step is final cleaning, wipe down with alchohol, then prime to get ready for application of the reproduction artwork.
