San Giuseppe Calasanzio
Istituto di Istruzione Superiore San Giuseppe Calasanzio is located in Sanluri, in Sardinia (Italy). Sanluri is a town of 8500 inhabitants in the south of Sardinia and it is the most important town of Medio Campidano (a Sardinian province). San Giuseppe Calasanzio is a private and a European school with about a hundred students.
It has recently promoted the creation of a Primary School, with a First Class of 8 little pupils. The main idea is to guide them all through the steps of their educational path according to the spirit of the school, ie. high sense of civil rights, civil duties, European citizenship and consequently a great attention to foreign languages.
Students who attend San Giuseppe Calasanzio usually come from surrounding towns of “Medio Campidano”. They begin Middle school at 11 years old and they continue until the age of 18-19 (Liceo or High School) when they achieve the high school diploma. Students achieve a first school diploma at 14 years old and a high school diploma at the age of 19.
The school counts on 24 teachers in High School. At this level, students can choose from three different kinds of studies: the Scientific High School, the Liberal Arts High School and the Foreign Languages High School.
