The Operating Systems

The ones that work well are the ones that suit your own machine - obviously - so how can you know which work and which might have problems .............

You could search the NET on your own machine name and specs ....... see if anyone is having problems with things that you specifically need to work.

or

Use Yumi ........... to do a test run - usually from a USB Pendrive ............ 6 gig is usually ok for most of the Linux distributions - later on you may need to have a 16 gig partition ........

The choice comes once you know if you like what you load up ..........

( with linux you can swap and change as you please )

........... as usually the cost is low ........... always keep your data backed up onto a separate drive ....... as with any computer system - drives can fail ......... your data is something you can not easily replace ......... so back it up.

First - system ..........

Linux Mint ....... might be the place to start ......... but if you have friends that run linux and they have a certain Linux setup - it might be a better idea to keep together with the friends choice as you can then learn together and it will make it so much easier as you discover the newer features and sometimes old programs that still work today ........... as they rarely go out of date ......... with the constant developer interest in them ............. the strongest and best survive ...........

The bottle starts off empty .......... you will soon start to fill it up with data ...........

As with the Net now - things we create get deleted ....... so the bottle will never fill .....

In fact people will stop producing things for free ..... everything will have a cost ......

The people who run this seem to want ..... yet ..... they will have to pay too now ..... odd system ..... people pay more and more and the ones with more - still know not how to produce ....
