Getting the DESSTINEE Model

The latest version of the model can be downloaded from the links below. All model files are in Excel 2010 format, and should operate correctly in Excel 2007 or higher (Windows) and Excel 2011 or higher (Mac). Compatibility with other systems cannot yet be completely guaranteed.

The DESSTINEE model is split across three workbooks, each of which covers one of the major areas of modelling. In addition, the 'Renewable Supply Profiles' workbook gives output patterns for wind and solar energy in each country over the course of a year, and is required by Modules 2 and 3 to run.

Each workbook contains some internal documentation to act as a quick-start guide. This website is being expanded to contain the full set of user documentation.
