2/26/16 Alamo Colleges Outreach

Today we went to Alamo Colleges to participate in National Engineering Week. We did two activities with the 150 fifth graders that attended. First, we used a zip line along with balloons and washers to demonstrated how mass affects acceleration and speed. We also worked with the fifth graders to help them make their own, unique, straw rocket. Once assembled, students launched the rockets to discovered how different fin designs made their rocket go farther.
