Does this version of VSQL add any new features?
No
I understand we can't mix Vassal/VSQL versions, but what about the logs and start files?
You can, but in an upwards direction only
Either
1. Both players use 4.1/3.1 exclusively
2. Both players use 4.2/3.2 exclusively
3. Both plays start using 4.1/3.1 and then BOTH players upgrade to 4.2/3.2 at the same time.
So, if both players upgrade to 4.2/3.2 then all existing log files and SSF files should load and be usable with no problems.
If this is a major upgrade, maybe we should test it using a few 'volunteers' before we release it. i would be a 'volunteer'.
No, there where no changes at all except to the underlying VASL code to make it compatible with Vassal 3.2. However, it would be sensible that it be tested.
Can i have the old version of Vassal/VSQL and the new version installed on my computer at the same time? I think we can but don't know how.
Yes, When you install Vassal 3.2, select the Custom Install option and you can choose to keep your 3.1.20 installation and have both 3.1.20 and 3.2.2 on your machine at the same time.
