A quick look at year from the database and Google Analytics:
Players
The year had fifty-one games completed by twenty-three players, including both the Ladder and tournaments. We also added ten new players to the roster for a total membership of one hundred and forty-one players. There are five hundred and eleven games recorded and seventy-three players with completed games since inception in 2012.
Matches
There were thirty-six (71%) Squad Leader games, twelve (24%) Cross of Iron games and three other games (5%) completed during 2019.

Scenarios
There are five hundred and forty-five scenarios in the database of which ninety-six have at least one recorded play. A little over half of the scenarios are for G.I.: Anvil of Victory (GIA), however they are the least played in the system. It is really not surprising because most of the GIA players moved on to ASL, worth it just for the better organized rulebook. Still, lots of the other players were happy enough to stick around for the next forty or so years. We should really try to pull some of the GIA scenarios down to Cross of Iron, some look pretty interesting.

Google Analytics
According to Google Analytics, we had 13,300 Pageviews by 1,600 Users during 2019. Even if the numbers are halved to account for bots and junk, that is still a respectable amount of hits. Thanks to everybody for stopping by for the scenarios, reading the AARs and participating in the Ladder and tournaments.
Google Demographics
We are also a fairly homogeneous group in terms of age and sex. For those of us having trouble reading the fine print these days, the largest age group is 45-54 followed by the 55-64 year olds. Kudos to the 18-44 years olds giving wargaming a shot.
I think a good portion of the site’s female visitors (7%) are males unknowingly logging in from a female’s account. The wargame room at WBC is pretty much all male and I don’t think I’ve seen but one or two females playing SQL, Panzerblitz and the other wargames. So the seven percent seems overstated compared with attendance at WBC, so i would adjust that down a few points.
Geo location
The top five countries by Users are the United States (909), Canada (146), France (110), the United Kingdom (102), and Japan (67).
Conclusion
I think 2019 was a pretty good year for the site. We had two tournaments running during the year, including one specifically for new and returning players. We added a Player’s history and stats page so they can track their games. We added a page for PTO scenarios and brought back the Tactical Training Series page after Advance Phase shut down, saving this excellent series from disappearing.
The plan for 2020 includes a new searchable database and resurrecting the scenario and player maps now defunct after Fusion Tables shut down. Oh yeah, and i’m starting to play GIA if only for the experience.
Thanks for a good year and lets hope for an even better 2020.
