Proficiency Badge requirements from the Scouts Australia Scout Record Book:
- Badge is for scout to develop a pursuit that is a challenge for them
- The badge is for advancement in an established field or learning something about a new one
- It should take 10 hours
- Proficiency badges have one level: you need to choose a new proficiency for each badge
- Time taken must not exceed 4 months
The badge should take 10 hours. If the description in the Record book doesn’t meet the 10 hour requirement it is up to the scout to explain to the troop council how they will achieve the 10 hours.
