Getting started modules

Scouts UK have a lot of training on their website, if you're new to helping at Scouts, start with the Getting Started modules. Safety, Safeguarding and GDPR are required for all roles, whether this is with the young people or on the Exec. Please email your certificate to Carrie.

Online training modules from Scouts UK

If you're helping at a section, you'll need to work through the section modules. These work towards the Scout Wood badge; section leaders will also work through these modules.

Webinars and local in person training for essentials and extras

Hampshire Scouts offer training mainly as webinars over the winter and in person during the summer. You can find out what's on here: calendar All the courses are free to Hampshire scout leaders.

Activity training courses at Scout Adventure Centres around the UK

Scout Adventures offer training courses at their activity centres, archery, climbing, rifle shooting and rafting come up frequently.

This free online course from Autism Hampshire takes around an hour to complete.

Stonewall have some resources around creating an inclusive group for LGBTQ+ young people.

Kidscape provide training and advice on tackling bullying.
