Scaffolding your lesson, storyboard, video
• topic/concept title
• Provide an overview of the topic/concept being presented
• Provide timeframe needed for this session
• Activate prior knowledge
• Ask students to set a goal for the session
• Present the topic/concept/lesson
(write script for succinct topic presentation, keeping videos short)
• Present questions and tasks to check for understanding
• Keep Students actively engage in the problem solving process -
>provide memory jogger acronyms, study strategies
> provide worksheets, questions for watching video, note taking (Cornell Notes), WSQ,
>show timer for focus
• Encourage students to reflect on the learning process, concept understanding
• Ask students to document areas of uncertainty, prepare questions to be asked in class.
• Students can be asked to complete work/worksheets designed for concept/lesson
or apply knowledge via multimedia/video
