INFORMATION

Jim, it was really great meeting you and seeing your shop first-hand. It IS a lot of work doing these but it's also a rare privilege to see in person the people and facilities so many Lincoln people only know via a phone number or website. I wrote this piece in a way that hopefully will get across to readers your wealth of experience, the precision and care with which you make your products and who you are as a person. I was particularly struck by your delight in coming up with new items to fill currently unmet needs. It's helpful to owners and also shows an active, engaged, intellectually curious brain coupled with the sense of action that actually gets the things produced. My hat's off to you!

A couple weeks ago, LCOC referred someone with a '67 to me who lives in the next town. He'd been stuck since Baker's closed. I was able to send him to one of the new specialists, not too far from here. After they connected, he circled back to me, gushing about how he'd been looking for a guy like that for years. He was as enthusiastic as if he'd won the lottery! That's the kind of joy you bring people when they discover your interiors and your reproduction parts. "OMG, somebody makes that! Whew!" So, thanks and keep at it!

The Sep-Oct issue should be out soon, with my article on Chris. The editor tells me you'll be in Nov-Dec, which hits most people's mailboxes just after Thanksgiving.

I hope we'll keep in touch.

All best wishes,

David Moyer
