VIDEO

I have found several videos about the mission of the cavalry in Germany after World War II. These are on YouTube and are not mine, nor am I in any of them. However, they do give an insight into the work of the units, and even some of the vehicles used.

This one is called the Border Watchers and is about the 2nd ACR, and 14th ACR (later the 11th ACR)

Here is a film made by the Army in circa 1985 about the 11th ACR

Here is a brief description of the M-551 Armored Reconnaissance/Airborne Assault Vehicle (Sheridan)

This one is the M-113 Armored Personnel Carrier. We used them in the 11th ACR as infantry vehicles and mortar tracks. They were later fitted with TOW (Tube-launched, Optically-tracked, Wire-guided) anti-tank missles.

There are lots more videos about the 11th ACR and vehicles on youtube. Have fun looking and remembering!
