My name is Greg Whitehead and I live in east Tennessee. This site is where I hope to post pictures and memories of my time in Alpha Troop, 11th Armored Calvary Regiment, Downs Barracks, Fulda, Germany from 1977 to 1979. I will try to identify people in the pictures to the best of my memory. A very special thank you goes out to Kent Blanco for inspiration and motivation. We shared an apartment in Fulda on Rohnstraße, just down the street from the Bahnhof. We reconnected earlier this year (2013) and have had some great talks about the good old days (It's a shame he lives on the other side of the country). Kent is a published writer now, and is working on a book about the mission of the 11th ACR from a regular soldier's point of view. I am anxious for him to finish it so I can read it.

This is a must-see site. There's tons of history and pictures.
