Publications

Publications class gives students the opportunity to work on the yearbook and the school website. Students learn the basics of Google Sites, desktop publishing software, and design elements of the yearbook. Basic photography and photo manipulation software are also part of the curriculum.

Students may take the class more than once for credit.

Positions available in the class are

Yearbook Editor -- Oversees the production and editing of the yearbook.

Yearbook Business Manager -- Works with the advisor to develop page sponsorships, handles financial aspects of sponsorships.

This course is online through the CESA Moodle site.

Grade Level: 9-12                                               Length: Semester

Credits = .5                                                        Prerequisite: Keyboarding or Information Processing (preferred)

Maximum Enrollment: 16

 When you think about slacking off and saying to yourself, “It’s good enough,” this mantra reminds you that maybe you can make the extra effort to make the book just a little bit better. Every little bit will add up to a much better yearbook.
