Hello and welcome to my classroom page! My name is Lisa Swanson and I am one of the 2nd grade teachers at Sioux Central Elementary. I have been in education for 28 years, providing me with experience in many grade levles and needs. I graduated from Buena Vista University with a Bachelors degree in Elementary Education, later I received endorsements in Special Education and Early Childhood Education. My husband, Chris and I live on a farm located by Peterson where we raised our 4 children. All four of our children graduated from Sioux Central and live in Northwest Iowa. I now have three grandchildren that I enjoy spending my free time with.

After teaching at many levels, I have found a great passion in teaching at the 2nd Grade level. In my classroom we encourage students to develop a growth mindset and enhance their skills academically all while having fun!
