Hello! My name is Kim Anderson and I'm the 8-12 School Counselor here at Sioux Central. This is my fourth year at Sioux Central, but my 15th year as a high school counselor.  

My husband, Nathen, and I live just outside of Sioux Rapids with our son, Jorden, dog's Bluc & Raven, and a bunch of chickens!  Nathen is the middle school science teacher and coaches girls basketball and track, Jorden is in fifth grade.  I am originally from Graettinger, I attended South Dakota State University to get my bachelors degree and St. Cloud State University for my masters degree.

As your school counselor, I can help you with academics, college/career, and personal/social issues.  A lot of life falls under these categories, and I am here to help you through it!  Whether you are struggling in a class, applying for college, having a friend fight, etc. I am here to help!  If I'm not able to help you, I can connect you with somebody who can.  Feel free to stop in anytime when you need to chat.
