Marathi Bhasha Gaurav Diwas:

On 27th February, Senior poet and Gyanpeeth award winner V. V.Shirwadkar's alias Kusumagraj’s birthday is celebrated as "Marathi Bhasha Gaurav Day". On this occasion, various programs were organized in our college as follows.

1) Marathi Books exhibition: In order to introduce the Marathi books in the library and to increase the reading habits of the users, Marathi books exhibition were organized in the library for the college students and staff. The exhibition was open to all from 10 am to 5 pm, students, teaching and non teaching staff took advantage of this.

2)Marathi sayings: This year's Marathi Bhasa Gaurav Din theme is ‘Marathi sayings’ therefore, the Posters of Marathi sayings along with meaning was displayed in the college library.

3) Marathi handwriting competition: Marathi handwriting competitions were organized for the students of the college. 42 students were participated in this competition. The winners and runners-up of the competition were honored by guest.

4) Guest Lectures on Marathi Language: A lecture on ‘Marathi Language’ was organized in college seminar hall and well known Marathi writer Mr.Sanjay Sonnawani was invited for the lecture. At this time, he gave a detailed account of the origins of Marathi language and how it has changed day by day. He appealed to the students for research in this regard to enrich Marathi language. Total 110 students and 35 teaching and non teaching staff were present in the program

Vachan Prerana Diwas: 15^th October, 2018

On the occasion of Late President Dr. A. P. J. Abdul Kalam’s 86^th Jayanti "Vachan Prerana Diwas" was celebrated at library. Various books and articles were kept in library for the memories of Kalam’s and were open for everyone. A group of 125 members including NSS volunteers, teaching & non-teaching staff and students actively participated.
