Answer: A student can issue 04 books on library borrower cards for a period of 04 days.
Q4. Is renewal of issued books allowed?
Answer: Yes, book renewal is permitted subject to availability and demand by other users.
Q5. What should I do if I lose my Identity Card or Library Borrower Card?
Answer: The loss of Identity Card or Borrower Card should be reported immediately to the Librarian.
Q6. Is there any charge for issuing a duplicate Identity Card or Borrower Card?
Answer: Yes, a charge of Rs. 50 will be applicable for issuing a duplicate Identity Card or Borrower Card.
Q7. Can I take reference books or journals home?
Answer: No, Reference books, journals, and periodicals can be used within the library premises only against a valid Identity Card.
Q8. What is the fine for late return of library books?
Answer: A fine of Rs. 10 per day per book will be charged for late return of books issued on borrower cards.
Q9. Is writing or marking in library materials allowed?Β
Answer: No. Writing, scribbling, or tearing pages of library books, newspapers, or periodicals is strictly prohibited and will invite strict disciplinary action.
Q10. Do students need to carry their Identity Card in the library?
Answer: Yes. Students must produce their Identity Card whenever demanded by the library staff.
Q11. What happens if a library book is lost?
Answer: In case of loss, the user must replace the book with a brand-new copy or pay the amount decided by the Library Committee.
Q12. Whom should I contact in case of any difficulty or issue?
Answer: Any difficulties or issues should be discussed directly with the Librarian.
