Music is not only an important and fundamental way among human beings for communication, emotional and cultural expression, but also crucial to children’s intellectual, physical and mental development.
It offers unlimited space for humankind to make use of its unique quality to exercise imagination and articulate emotions that definitely cannot be replaced by spoken or written language. Music can be regarded as an intelligence, for which every individual can use to create, learn and solve problems during the process of growth. In other words, every student has the intelligence and potential in music, the ability to listen to music, learn music, as well as the entitlement to music education.
Involvement in music activities allows students to stimulate creativity, to develop various abilities and generic skills, and to cultivate values and attitudes such as perseverance, self-discipline, a sense of responsibility and commitment. Therefore, music education is not mandated for the small number of music talents.
