Students in Band receive a small group instrument lesson once a week.
Covid safety modifications: Wind instruments played outside, or inside with bell covers and musician masks.

Schedule:
Students need to bring their instruments to school on days scheduled for band lessons or rehearsal. They will receive a monthly calendar showing their scheduled lessons and rehearsals. The monthly calendar is also posted each month at the top of this page.
Instruments for Beginning Band:
Families are generally responsible for sourcing the the instrument their child will play.
You may choose to buy or rent from a reputable instrument seller such as Martoccio's in Simsbury or Music and Arts in Avon
Buy or borrow from a friend or relative who no longer uses their instrument
There are instruments available for rent from the district music department (Please call 658-0451 x 663)
There are instruments available for a reduced rate or free if your family has demonstrated evidence of financial need. This is a confidential process between you and the district music office. (Please call 658-0451 x 663)
