NTI Day #6: Feb. 3rd
Dear SES Families,
I am very blessed to be able to come back home to be interim principal for the remainder of the school year. My goals will be centered around the following: providing leadership that will provide continuity and stability for students, parents, and staffulty.
I had the plan to visit all classrooms this week but Mother Nature had different plans. So that will be one of the first things that I do when we all get back together. Please know that I am always available to help and offer guidance. Call or come by at your convenience to that we can keep the lines of communication open.
Again it is a privilege to be leading SES by impacting students to soar, explore and succeed.
Respectfully submitted,
Joyce Pais, Interim Principal
NTI Day allows Simpson County Schools to provide non-traditional instruction on days when students are not able to attend school due to inclement weather or illness.
Teachers will be contacting students on NTI days to monitor progress and offer assistance. For students who need help in completing the NTI work, teachers will be available from 8:00-3:00.
Simpson County Schools will notify you when NTI days are going to be used for closure. Parents and guardians will be notified by radio, tv and social media, and Apptegy Call system. For this school year, NTI packets will be provided to each student.
Students should return their paper copies of work to school .
If a student is unable to complete the lesson packet prior to returning to school, he/she will be provided assistance at school to complete the work. All NTI Day work will be due within 7 days upon their return to school.
SES Families,
In the event SCS dismisses early for any reason, our students will follow their normal transportation procedures, UNLESS, a note was sent in by the parent/guardian that day. Simpson Elementary WILL NOT accept changes over the phone or by text message to faculty. If a student needs to have a change made, the parent/guardian will have to come to Simpson to make that change. We realize the inconvenience this may cause for some but it is the most safe and effective way to ensure our students are taken care of.
Thank you!
Happy National School Counseling Week!
We are so thankful for Mrs. Laura Doty our amazing school counselor, who supports our students every single day with kindness, patience, and a whole lot of heart. From big feelings to big wins, she is always there for our Wildcats.
Thank you, Mrs. Doty, for being a true school leader, a loving educator, and such an important part of the SES family. We appreciate you more than words can say!
