SES Families,
In the event SCS dismisses early for any reason, our students will follow their normal transportation procedures, UNLESS, a note was sent in by the parent/guardian that day. Simpson Elementary WILL NOT accept changes over the phone or by text message to faculty. If a student needs to have a change made, the parent/guardian will have to come to Simpson to make that change. We realize the inconvenience this may cause for some but it is the most safe and effective way to ensure our students are taken care of.
Thank you!

Simpson Elementary is excited to celebrate Read Across America Week with fun dress-up days that highlight our love of reading! Each day will feature a different theme connected to regions of the United States, ending with a special “Wildcats Love to Read” school spirit day.
Please see the flyer for daily themes and help your child plan their outfits. We can’t wait to celebrate literacy together — it’s going to be a fun and engaging week for all of our growing readers!
Today our SES STLP students officially launched their Techno-Reading Explosion, a collection of projects designed to bring technology and reading together in an exciting new way! Over the next three weeks, students will release one chapter of our story (based on our school theme) along with a comprehension quiz each week through our Schoology course.
Students will also have the chance to create 3-D renditions of the chapter’s setting and characters — bringing the story to life in hands-on, creative ways!
We are so proud of the hard work our students have put into preparing for this launch. Thank you, teachers, for the lovely snapshots and for helping our kids stay excited for reading!
