WHAT IS A NEW HOME ORIENTATION ?
A New Home Orientation (NHO) is a meeting that occurs at the end of your build where you are introduced to your new home. The goal of this meeting Is to show you how your new home functions, what your responsibilities to your new home are, and should you ever need it, how the warranty works. During this process, your builder’s representative will walk the inside and outside of the home with you going over all the systems, warranty and maintenance items.
WHEN DOES THIS MEETING OCCUR?
This 1.5-hour meeting typically takes place a week or two prior to closing. It cannot be performed after closing as any issue that is not noted prior to closing will not be covered by the Warranty. During the NHO if any issues are noted we will address them before closing.
HOW CAN I PREPARE?
This meeting is very important. We ask that only those whose names are on the deed be present. We love children but this is a time where you need to get a sitter. The process can be long, hot, and quite frankly boring for children. No Pets will be allowed in the home until after you have closed. We ask that on this day you wear comfortable shoes, clothing and be prepared to be in the sun 30 to 45 minutes as the NHO starts on the outside of the home and is finished inside.
