Feedback is essential for curriculum development, revision, and Council on Social Work Education (CSWE) accreditation. We appreciate your participation with completing the evaluations listed below.
Types of evaluations
CSWE competency assessments: The CSWE requires that all accredited social work programs engage in ongoing assessment of program processes and outcomes. These competencies are listed on course syllabi and differ according to whether students are at the generalist curriculum level or the specialist curriculum level. The results have no bearing on students’ grades or academic standing. The generalist measure includes a 45-item assessment, distributed during week 10 of SW421B. Specialist measures are completed during week 10 of the following courses: SWH404, SWH414, SW424B, and SWH509. Contact sswassessments@simmons.edu if you have additional questions.
Course evaluation: This survey is provided within the course two weeks prior to the end of each semester.
MSW program-level survey: This annual survey is distributed towards the end of January/Spring term and contains items that help to assess the implicit curriculum, which is required for ongoing CSWE accreditation.
