This page covers:
1. How to install the Exhibit Builder plugin
2. How to add an exhibit and exhibit pages
3. View the exhibit publicly
1. Install the Exhibit Builder
To create an exhibit, you'll have to install the Exhibits plugin. From your dashboard, locate the "Plugins" tab in the navigation at the top of the page. With your Basic plan, 15 plugins are available to you. Find "Exhibit Builder" in the list and click the bright green "Install" button. Though "install" sounds like it might be time-consuming or complex, it's really just like activating an add-on in your browser. You should see it appear quickly in your left-hand navigation.
2. Add an Exhibit and Pages
Click "Exhibits" in the left-hand navigation and then click the bright green "Add an Exhibit" button in the top left corner. On the next page, provide the exhibit with some descriptive metadata. You'll notice there's no sign of "Dublin Core" here so you have more flexibility in the information you provide. At the bottom of the page, click the bright green "Add Page" button.
The pages of your exhibit display your items and any content you want to accompany them. To start adding content, select a layout for a new content block. From there, add items you've already uploaded and provide as little or as much text as you'd like. Be aware: you can delete content blocks, but you can't change the layout of the block once its created.
Continue to add content blocks to this page, or create new pages by clicking the bright green "Save and Add Another Page" button. Remember to save your work as much as possible as you build your exhibit.
3. Public view
To see how the exhibit will look to users, click "View Public Page."
Voila! You have created an exhibit.
