Who We Are
The Hillside Winterguard is an indoor performing arts competition team that combines drill team, dance, and multiple types of equipment choreography culminating in our annual competition program. Originally established as a club during the 2021-2022 school year, the Winterguard's purpose is to provide students with a unique performance experience while providing substantial training for the like competition teams at the high school level. The 2022-2023 school year was the Winterguard's first competitive year, where we competed as a team of 9 in the Junior High AA division of the Winter Guard Association of Southern California. Ever since, popularity and interest in the Hillside Winterguard has increasingly grown providing us with larger roster of talented performers each and every year who are ready to take WGASC and all of Southern California by storm!

Our Purpose
We want to thank and appreciate your consideration for exploring the activity of Colorguard and potentially joining our team and beloved program. The art of Colorguard, Winterguard, and the extended Pageantry Arts is a vast community of skills, performance, and community that we are happy to share with all of you and can’t wait to get started! Throughout your experience, you can be sure to gain a wealth of knowledge and training in various equipment (flag, rifle, and sabre) as well as dance, expressive quality, and team building. The Hillside Winterguard is intended to provide the greatest performance experience to young students possible, with pursuits toward excellence and pride in the Junior High Circuit of the Winterguard Association of Southern California (WGASC).

The competition has never been more fierce! ❤️🔥🌹The Hillside Winterguard went out for their last regular score of the season against some incredible competitors! A lot of cleaning and effort was on display today and the team returns home proud of their dedication and fueled with fire for the next two weeks before time officially passes on the 2026 Hillside Winterguard season on Saturday, April 18th @ Edison HS! We're so proud of you team! Keep up the great work!

Time officially has passed and the team returns home emotional and proud! What a truly wonderful and hard-fought year of Winterguard competition! The team tackled the subject matter of grief, love, and perseverance to find the light at the end of the tunnel and we could not be more proud of how they put everything they had into their final performance! You'll always be an inspiration to us! 🌹♥️
