Who We Are

The Hillside Winterguard is an indoor performing arts competition team that combines drill team, dance, and multiple types of equipment choreography culminating in our annual competition program. Originally established as a club during the 2021-2022 school year, the Winterguard's purpose is to provide students with a unique performance experience while providing substantial training for the like competition teams at the high school level. The 2022-2023 school year was the Winterguard's first competitive year, where we competed as a team of 9 in the Junior High AA division of the Winter Guard Association of Southern California. Ever since, popularity and interest in the Hillside Winterguard has increasingly grown providing us with larger roster of talented performers each and every year who are ready to take WGASC and all of Southern California by storm!

Our Purpose

We want to thank and appreciate your consideration for exploring the activity of Colorguard and potentially joining our team and beloved program. The art of Colorguard, Winterguard, and the extended Pageantry Arts is a vast community of skills, performance, and community that we are happy to share with all of you and can’t wait to get started! Throughout your experience, you can be sure to gain a wealth of knowledge and training in various equipment (flag, rifle, and sabre) as well as dance, expressive quality, and team building. The Hillside Winterguard is intended to provide the greatest performance experience to young students possible, with pursuits toward excellence and pride in the Junior High Circuit of the Winterguard Association of Southern California (WGASC).

Baldwin Park HS - 4.5.25

PEDAL TO THE METAL! ❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥 We just keep crushing it! ♥️🥇 Hillside Winterguard traveled to Baldwin Park HS, brought home another strong 1st place finish, and are sprinting toward Championships with the highest score in JHAA! We're not stopping here! We'll keep representing and living up to our own expectations! So proud of you Guard! Keep it up! ❤️‍🔥

And with that... the 2025 Hillside Winterguard are once again JHAA Bronze Medalists!!! 🥉❤️‍🔥 We could not be more proud of this team and their accomplishments and they truly earned each and every applause they received with their performance of our our 2025 program, "No Expectations." It's been a wonderful season with so much growth, experience, and memories ♥️ For now, that's another bookmark in the history of the Hillside Winterguard. Fantastic job team! We love you so much!
