The Hillside Symphony Orchestra says goodbye to their revolutionary performance of our Selections from Les Miserables medley - with great passion, power, and presentation, we release Prisoner 24601 as we hear the people sing!
We had such an amazing time presenting to our local elementary students! It was so much fun and there were so many bright, shining faces! We loved performing for you and are very much looking forward to seeing some, or all, of you as part of our program next year!Â
We love performing for our students, faculty, and staff at Hillside! It's great performance training before we do it for real and gives a little insight into how our students work and operate while they're at school. Check it out!Â
WEstlake Jazz Festival - 5.9.26
The Hillside Jazz Orchestra made an incredible mark in the world of middle school jazz performance on this day as we take our shot in the Advanced Division alongside 3 other incredible established groups! THE HJO put forth a ton of energy and performance quality and solidified themselves as strong competitors to look out for in the future! We're so proud of your jazz and vibes!Â
This year, our Concert Orchestra received the enormous honor of being invited to perform as 1 of 16 total musical ensembles from across California, 1 of 6 middle school ensembles, at the 2025 CMEA Band and Orchestra Festival. This was a yearlong process to prepare for, which required recordings to be submitted last year (2024) as part of an application process before being accepted.Â
Every ensemble that performed here had previously received a Unanimous Superior rating at a regional festival, thus creating invitational eligibility. We could not be more proud of our students for representing Hillside and Simi Valley in Orchestral Performance!Â
