Apply to Join the Fire Department

Emergency Responders are employees of the fire department who respond to incidents when alerted by pager or cell phone.  Anyone who has a heart for serving the community and is 18 years or older may apply.  No experience is required.  We are able to train.   Individuals who already possess firefighting or emergency medical certifications are encouraged to apply.   In either case, we are seeking individuals who are interested in becoming emergency responders.  Emergency responders chose to respond to an alert if they are available.  Emergency responders are paid for their service per hour when they respond to a call.  Serving the community in this manner is a rewarding experience.  

Full Time Employees are career positions.  These positions work 24 hour shifts on a rotating schedule.  Full time positions are salaried and eligible for benefits.  We offer paid vacation, sick leave, health insurance,  life insurance and retirement plan.

Part time Employees are positions that work an 8 hour daytime shift complementing the full time position.  These positions work a rotating schedule.  Part time positions do not receive benefits.  They are paid an hourly rate.
