The chat tab on the Silicon Slopes Community platform allows for communication between Silicon Slopes members about upcoming events or general announcements. There are three different types of chats:

• Channels - communications from Silicon Slopes to the entire community 

• Chapters - communications from Silicon Slopes chapter leaders to members of their chapter

• Private - communications between members of the Silicon Slopes community

1.  Click into any tab on the Silicon Slopes Community platform that is not the 'Chat' tab.

2. Go to the 'Search Silicon Slopes' bar in the top right corner. 

3. Type in the name of the person you'd like to chat.

4. Click on their name and navigate to their profile.

5. Click the 'Message' button. 

6. Type out your message and click the send button.
