Silent Coast Asset Co., Ltd. respects the privacy of users of Project Vault for ChatGPT.
The core purpose of Project Vault for ChatGPT is to create local archives of conversations and supported attachments that the user chooses to save. Conversation archive content is intended to be processed and stored locally on the user’s device or in locations the user chooses.
We do not operate a cloud service whose purpose is to receive or store the contents of users’ archived ChatGPT conversations.
Purchases and license issuance are handled through Lemon Squeezy. Information necessary for payment, order management, license issuance, activation, validation, deactivation, fraud prevention, tax handling, and related customer support may therefore be processed by Lemon Squeezy under its own privacy practices.
The Software may communicate with the licensing infrastructure necessary to validate a license. Such requests may include the license key and limited technical or instance information required for license management. Conversation archive content is not intended to be transmitted as part of license validation.
To perform user-requested backup, verification, and diagnostic functions, Project Vault for ChatGPT may temporarily use authentication information already provided by the ChatGPT website, including a short-lived ChatGPT access token, in memory while the operation is being performed.
The Software does not store ChatGPT access tokens or cookie values in its local archives, diagnostic reports, or AI Repair Kits.
For license activation, validation, and deactivation, the Software sends the license key and limited installation or instance identifiers required for license management to Lemon Squeezy over HTTPS.
ChatGPT conversation contents, Project contents, Project names, and archived attachments are not sent to Lemon Squeezy or Silent Coast Asset Co., Ltd. as part of license validation.
Project Vault for ChatGPT uses user data only as necessary to provide its disclosed backup, verification, local archive search, license-management, and diagnostic functions.
The use of information received through Chrome or related browser functionality adheres to the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. User data is not sold, used for advertising, creditworthiness, or transferred to data brokers or other information resellers.
When you use Project Vault for ChatGPT with ChatGPT, Chrome, or other third-party products, your use of those services remains subject to their privacy policies and terms. We do not control the data practices of those third parties.
If you contact us for support, we may receive the information you choose to provide, such as your email address, order details, diagnostic information, screenshots, or files.
Please avoid sending private conversation content unless it is genuinely necessary for support.
We use support information to respond to requests, troubleshoot issues, prevent abuse, and improve the product.
We retain support and business records only for as long as reasonably necessary for customer support, legal, accounting, fraud-prevention, and operational purposes.
Payment and order information held by Lemon Squeezy is subject to Lemon Squeezy’s retention practices.
We use reasonable safeguards appropriate to a small software business, but no software or storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure. Users remain responsible for securing their devices and local archive files.
The Software is not directed specifically to children. Purchasers should have legal capacity to enter into the purchase under applicable law or act with the permission of a parent or guardian where required.
We may update this Privacy Policy when the product, legal requirements, or third-party integrations change. The current version will be posted on the product website with its effective date.
