Meet the Teacher

What to expect in 8th and 9th grade ELA:

We use Amplify ELA as our primary learning platform. It is a blended program that uses both print and digital materials. Students will read texts closely, interpret what they have read, disuss their reading with peers and the teacher, and will develo[p their ideas in writing. The lessons are easy to follow and flexible to allow for a variety of learning styles and experiences to keep students engaged.

Please bring the following materials to class each day:

reusable water bottle (no glass!)

plug-in headphones for your Chromebook (NOT wireless)

lunch box

water shoes (please keep at home until needed)

and most important: a positive attitude and open mind!
