The Alpineer Lodge

Our base camp is at the Alpineer Club Lodge in Soda Springs, near Sugar Bowl Resort. The lodge is owned and maintained by club members throughout the year, creating a wonderful access point to the surrounding environs. The building is complete with bunk beds, hot showers, and a full kitchen.

Donner Summit

The area around camp offers many outdoor opportunities. The Pacific Crest Trail passes through Donner Summit and has many access points nearby. Camp also backs up to Van Norden Meadow, with gorgeous wildflower blooms and active wildlife in the summer. Excellent rock climbing is in walking distance from the lodge as well.
