The Core Subjects
Our class uses the Integrated Co-Teaching Model (ICT, or Team Teaching). This is a setting in which a general education and a special education teacher jointly provide instruction to a class that has students with and without disabilities. Together both teachers, in addition to a full-time reaching assistant, deliver instruction to ALL students employing a range of teaching strategies. The curriculum is general education content based on the Next Generation Learning Standards of the 4 main subjects - Math, ELA, Social Studies, and Science.
