Class Expectations
1) Be on time, in your seat, and ready to work at the bell
2) Raise your hand and do not speak while others are speaking
3) Treat others the way that you would like to be treated yourself
4) Keep hands, feet, and other objects to yourself
5) Be prepared with all of your English materials every day
These rules were collectively created by all of my students this year. It is every student's responsibility to follow their own rules.
Homework Policy
The students should have all of their assigned work turned in on Google Classroom when it is due. Homework is usually due the next day unless otherwise stated. If students do not have the homework, it is a ZERO. Emergencies will be taken into account if accompanied with a note from the parent/guardian.

IRB Projects
IRB (Independent Reading Book)
There will be 1 IRB project per Quarter. The students will be given plenty of time to read their book and complete the project. Projects will be graded based on the ELA Writing Rubric found on page 8 of the Agenda book. Late projects will be penalized 1 Rubric grade per day.
1st Quarter IRB is due: Monday, October 16, 2023
2nd Quarter IRB is due: Monday, January 8, 2024
3rd Quarter IRB is due: Monday, March 18, 2024
4th Quarter IRB is due: Monday, May 20, 2024
ELA Exam
The ELA Exam will be administered on: Wednesday, May 1 & Thursday, May 2, 2024.
