Having earned the rank Eagle Scout in high school, I hold dear the values and skills Scouting America (then the Boy Scouts of America) has instilled in me.  It is for that reason that when called upon, I became the Scoutmaster of Troop 218 (boys) right here in the Huntington area and Chartered by St. Elizabeth's church.  http://www.troop218.us  There are about 6 troops in the area and one (Troop 218 G) is all girls and operates independently from it's brother troop (218).  If you would like to look for a local troop please see:

VIRTUAL MERIT BADGE OPPORTUNITIES

Please reach out to me if you are interested in me being your counselor or running a class for any of the following Merit Badges:

Please reach out to me for any partials you would like to complete for the above!

We can meet in person or virtually, of course in keeping with YPT rules.

I will need at least one other Registered & YPT trained adult to be at each session .... PLEASE come sit in on a class.  In addition, if there are any Girls attending they will need to be sure that there is a Female YPT trained adult present.  Ideal numbers for these classes are 5-10 but will cap at 15.

To be a part of a Merit Badge class you must do the following:

FIRST: Scoutmaster's Permission

Be sure that you have your Scoutmaster's approval AND either a signed blue card OR have the counselor linked to you in ScoutBook for each Merit Badge you will be joining us for.

SECOND: Fill out the GOOGLE registration form for the badge you are interested in below.

THIRD: PRINT the appropriate workbook from http://usscouts.org/mb/worksheets/list.asp prior to the first class.  Please check the up to date requirements at http://www.scouting.org/meritbadges.aspx

I am also looking for Merit Badge Counselors to make this program as robust as possible... if you are interested in volunteering your time to teach please let me know your availability.  You can contact me at kgunsel@shufsd.org.
