At Seven Hills, we have grade based character driven advisories where students get to know each other and have fun. On a deeper level, students have a close relationship with a caring adult and a small group of diverse peers for an entire year. Our methods include the Circle of Power and Respect that includes a daily greeting, sharing prompt, and an activity. Greetings are used to ensure every student is seen each day by another member of our community. Sharing deepens connections and helps students extend empathy. Activities encourage students and advisors to laugh, respect expectations, and increase self control. We believe that our advisories create and maintain a positive school environment.
