Sometimes, students will ask questions that have difficult, often out of scope answers, and occasionally those answers cover topics or historical events that are not entirely appropriate for the fifth grade age group. That said, I do believe that this generation is uniquely capable of handling some of those more difficult topics, and given their curiosity and interest, I would prefer they get their answers from a source that you can trust, rather than haphazardly seeking information online. On this page will be videos that go over the answers to those kinds of questions. Each video will be clearly titled and have a summary section below to describe what the general content of the video will be. While I hold firm in my belief that education suffers greatly under needless censorship, I also know that reckless exposure to topics beyond a child's maturity level can have the opposite desired effect on their learning and understanding. For that reason, I encourage parents to screen the content of these videos and decide for themselves whether their child is ready to learn about these parts of history.Â
