Latin III

LATIN III GOALS:

Latin III will focus on building off of the skills gained through Latin I and Latin II. Building the vocabulary knowledge will be paramount, but also pushing the knowledge of grammar and syntax. By the end of the trimester, students will have a wide vocabulary base and a greater understanding of the mechanics of Latin and the grammar and syntax of the language. Additionally, they should be able to work through Latin paragraphs.

If a student is done with Latin at Seven Hills after Latin III, they should have a solid knowledge of English derivatives and syntax and grammar. A student who chooses to take another language in high school should be well-equipped to make connections to Latin between languages like Spanish, French, and Italian.
