Add walling, framing, and doors to entryways fitted to support electronic panic and locking hardware. Possibly remove and fill an unneeded door
Add electronic lock controls to three new doorways; outfit one of those locks with a remote opener for office use; and integrate controls into the current Motorola Solutions Access Control Manager program.
PA system housed within the school office with two-way communication to 9 learning spaces, as well as speakers that reach restrooms, hallways, and outdoor spaces.
Selection Criteria and/or Interview Process
Interested vendors will need to schedule an on-site visit to Sacred Heart Catholic School before the bid submission deadline to:
Inspect existing conditions of the spaces
Structural considerations for the project
Take photos or measurements for bidding purposes.
Discuss possible on-site and work schedule logistics
Gather compliance requirements for Kansas Highway Patrol-sponsored work
Ask additional questions.
Directions for Submission of Request for Proposal (RFP)
Interested individuals, firms, and organizations are to submit one copy of their proposal to the following address:

Such proposals must show the following information:
Vendor name and address
Name and resume of Project Director
Only sealed hard-copy proposals are acceptable. These can either be hand-delivered or submitted via USPS, UPS, FedEx, or other delivery service.
CAUTION: Be sure to allow time for your proposal to arrive, since UPS, FedEx, and USPS delivery times can be erratic and unpredictable. “Next Day Delivery” does not guarantee delivery by the deadline, and all proposals received after the stated deadline will be rejected and returned unopened.
Questions concerning the project and proposal process will be answered by the school principal, Mr. Patrick Greer (see contact information above), up until one working day before bid closing. Questions submitted after that point will not be answered or processed.
All proposals must be clearly labeled on the outside of the envelope with the project name provided in the proposal instructions.
Proposal changes or modifications will be accepted by email, but only if changes are requested by Sacred Heart Catholic Church of Ottawa. Hard copy, written confirmation of the value change/modification must then be submitted to Sacred Heart on an agreed-upon date.
Electronic submissions (e.g., E-mail and FAX) of complete proposals are NOT acceptable and will be rejected.
Neither duplicate hard copies nor electronic versions of proposals should be circulated to other parties affiliated with the project.
Sealed proposals will be accepted until 4:00 pm Central Time on September 25th, 2026. At that time, all proposals received will be opened. Members of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Ottawa shall then review the individual proposals in accordance with the above deliverables criteria.
Contract
Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Ottawa, will enter into a contract with the selected firm. The Vendor is hereby informed that the contract document must be approved by the Kansas Highway Patrol prior to its final execution.
All persons awarded and/or entering into contracts with Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Ottawa, shall be subject to and required to comply with all applicable state and federal provisions pertaining to non-discrimination, Equal Employment Opportunity, and Affirmative Action. All Contracts will be reviewed by the Kansas Highway Patrol prior to execution.
