Artificial Intelligence

Have you ever heard of artificial intelligence? Artificial intelligence, also known as AI, is the science of making machines that think like humans.
The people who came up with the idea of inventing artificial intelligence are John McCarthy, Alan Turing, Marvin Minsky, Allen Newell, and Herbert A. Simon. They came up with the idea of artificial intelligence in 1956 at Dartmouth College, USA.
The goal of artificial intelligence was to provide software that can reason on input, and explain on output. Fun Facts About AI: Did you know that nearly 77% of devices today use artificial intelligence technology in one form or another? Did you know that more than 4 billion devices already work on AI-powered voice assistants?
Artificial intelligence has affected lots, now let’s see what some students have to say about artificial intelligence! “Well overall, I think it’s not a good thing. Some people may say that they think it’s very useful, but I think that people should learn to do things on their own,” says Emma in fifth grade.
Another student, Maya, who’s in fifth grade, has another interesting opinion. “I mean, I think it’s interesting. It’s a little bit creepy because if it gets any smarter it could take over the world.”
“I think that it is awesome, but kind of terrifying. It’s also gotten a lot smarter. I honestly think they're going to take over the world,” fifth grader Violet says.
Artificial intelligence is still pretty new, and evolving every day. How do you think it will affect our lives, will it be good or bad? Will it improve our everyday activities? Will it help us learn? What do you picture the future of AI will be like?
