Hello Everyone! I am a Certified Family and Consumer Sciences teacher, aka Home Economics. With this title I wear many hats. I am certified to teach many subjects and have a historical background in a variety of fields. I graduated from Rowan University with a Home Economics Degree specializing in Fashion Retail and Marketing. I began my career in the fashion industry and have come full circle via an alternate route to teaching Foods For Today, International Foods and Independent Living here at Shore. I love working with young adults and guiding them to be comfortable in the kitchen. I truly believe that having a great set of cooking skills along with a baseline of recipes will enhance your life, help you take care of yourself and your family in the best possible way in a young adult's future. All cooking skills start with basic knowledge and build upon one another, and by the end of the semester of class student’s are cooking on their own and don’t even realize what they have attained. I love to have friendly competitions within classes so that students can realize all that they have achieved. A true testament of success!
