Math 6
For Math this week, we are revisiting addition and adding one and two digit numbers (10+5=15 ).
We are also learning about the symbol = and + , then linking = to the word balance.
We are then connecting balance and = to scales and recognising the 5+3 is equal to 6+2
You might like to start the day, by counting using the number chart below.
Can you count by 2's, 5's, 10's? Do you notice a pattern? Can you Can forward from 23 to 71 and then backwards from 71-23?
Practice saying addition sentences and making them with your toys and writing them down. You could say "10 cars plus/ add 3 cars makes 13 cars altogether." and writing 10 + 3 = 13.
