Parenting children brings about a number of challenges. We hope this resource page will be able to provide some assistance as you care for and support your child. These topics are complex and impact each person differently, therefore please reach out to the community of Shire Christian School as we work together to best support the young people under our care.

Shire Christian School Happy Families Resource Hub

Shire Christian School has subscribed to the Happy Families School Membership which offers a wealth of parenting education and resources from Dr Justin Coulson.

The subscription provides access to a weekly parenting insight article and four live webinars per year (one per term). You can also access recordings of previous webinars immediately.

Shire Christian School Counselling Process

1. Contact the class teacher with your concern for your child.

2. The class teacher will discuss the concern with the Year coordinator.

3. The Stage Coordinator will follow up your concern and if needed will refer your child to the school counsellors. Upon this happening written consent from parents is required (Years Prep-9).

4. Counsellors will arrange a meeting with the student.

Please note - School Counselling is an interim service until external counselling/psychology can be arranged for the child.
