YOUNG CARERS

A young carer is someone aged 18 or under who helps look after a family member or friend who has a physical or mental health condition.

Most young carers look after a parent, sibling or grandparent. The help they provide will often  be practical; completing jobs in and around the home -  cooking and cleaning. They will often help with practical personal care too - and may also be the person's main emotional support.

The following websites provide information and support for young carers.
