What is STEAM?

• STEAM brings together Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics through hands-on, engaging learning experiences. Instead of simply learning about a topic, students create, experiment, ask questions, and solve real-world problems. Along the way, they develop valuable skills they'll use in school, future careers, and everyday life.

What Does STEAM Look Like?

• Every day is a new adventure! Students might design and build projects, conduct science experiments, explore technology, create artwork, investigate the outdoors, or work together to solve exciting challenges. Through these experiences, students discover new interests while building creativity, critical thinking, communication, and teamwork skills.

How Does STEAM Learning Benefit my Child?

• STEAM helps students grow into confident, curious, and capable learners. By encouraging creativity, collaboration, problem-solving, and perseverance, STEAM prepares students for success both inside and outside the classroom. Most importantly, it inspires a lifelong love of learning in a fun, supportive environment.

Curriculum 

Our curriculum provides students with opportunities to explore their interests through a combination of student-driven activities and guided, hands-on lessons. Learning experiences are designed to engage students, build confidence, and support growth in academic, social, and life skills.

Students participate in a variety of enrichment opportunities, including CATCH Physical Education, Penn State Extension, WellSpan Healthy Living, ESports Elite Gaming, and Edmentum credit recovery, along with activities that encourage creativity, problem-solving, and real-world learning.

Partnerships

Our program is supported by valued community partners who help create unique learning experiences, career exploration opportunities, and real-world connections for students. Local professionals and organizations bring their knowledge and expertise into our program, helping students explore new interests and discover future possibilities.

Our partners include, but are not limited to, local and state police, Mapes Farm, Rohrbach's Farm, T Ross Construction Brothers, the YMCA, Penn State Extension, Evangelical WellSpan, PennDOT, the Department of Agriculture, the PA Game Commission, Susquehanna University, Degenstein Community Library, Sunbury Municipal Authority, and district police officers.

Together, we connect students with their community while creating meaningful opportunities to learn, grow, and succeed.
