What is Shen PRIDE?
Shen PRIDE is a school wide initiative aimed at improving the culture of the Shenendehowa High School community. Students will be recognized for showing positive behaviors by receiving a "Gotcha Ticket" from faculty or staff at anytime during the school day!
Why Should I Care About Shen PRIDE?
Showing pride and positivity is its own reward, but the Shen PRIDE initiative provides students a chance to win some prizes as well! Up to two students from each grade will be drawn monthly from the Gotcha Tickets received and those students will become Students of the Month and receive a gift card.
Some examples of Shen PRIDE in action:
helping another student in class when their work was done
a brand new student to Shen who jumped in by becoming involved in 2 clubs
improvement shown in academics
respectful to other students while working in the SHED
always organizes the orchestra space out of the goodness in her heart
always ready to learn with an infectious positive attitude
found a watch (lost) and returned it to the office
made a kindness poster for study hall
helped library with inventory
asked a student to join their group
uses free time in class to help other students struggling with work
helped with carts for backpack program
offered to translate for a new student
always prepared for class and pleasant to everyone
great student who is trying to make a positive difference in a difficult world
amazing at sharing and a positive participator
hard working and on task
helped students with project in class
helped decorate the library
always offers to help classmates without being asked
shares chromebook charger with others
quietly comforted an upset student
helped teacher carry items
attends all school events to show Shen Pride
